very fast to set this computer up, connecting to the wireless network and getting online.HDMI port for plugging into TVs, The keyboard is full sized with nice key action. The screen is big, bright and really sharp. The touchpad has a slightly rough texture. The Satellite was easy to set up right out of the box and it works perfectly. The screen is bright and clear

FYI, the last computer cost a bit over $1,000 - this computer is $499. Perhaps the Toshiba doesn't look as slick, but it functions as well or better than the three-year-old Dell. I use primarily MS Word and PowerPoint - and for those uses it works fine. BUT - too much multi-tasking slows the thing down to herky-jerky response because the clock time is so slow. I bought this MacBook Pro 13.3' Laptop computer because I wanted a lightweight, smaller computer to use in our living room. Thinking the smaller screen might present a problem seeing it well, I was surprised that the glossy screen could be seen easily. Such vivid colors, too! I am a senior citizen, and have not had any trouble reading what is on the screen. While I watch TV, I can check my e-mails and answer them, surf the net and check various files that I have. I also like to play games. I can also listen to music (CDs or online) and streaming radio broadcasts (our son broadcasts from out-of-state and love being able to hear his radio station's streaming). Being a Mac-only user, I wanted a very good, well-made, reliable computer with plenty of functions such as a DVD player---and this is it! And, it only weighs 4.5 lbs., so is easy to place onto a table that I have near my chair when I am finished using it. It is a great size for travel, too. I own a larger, older Mac Book Pro, too, and have never been disappointed with it. I highly recommend this computer.

When I was researching this product in while in the process of trying to find a new laptop, the word "intuitive" seemed to be bandied about by both Apple and its acolytes. After my purchase I am happy to report that intuitive is not merely a buzzword but a fantastic adjective to describe this wonderful machine! The trackpad is nothing short of amazing and will certainly ruin any other impostor you might be familiar with using (my old Dell's feels terrible by comparison). The entire package is wonderful and the backlit screen and keyboard is a welcome feature that you will certainly enjoy. I could go on and on about why I am incredibly satisfied, but I'll just stop by saying that if you are willing to pay roughly $1,000 on a laptop that will probably last you the better part of a decade you cannot do better than the Macbook Pro!

I have had my MAC for about 1 week now so i would give my thoughts thus far. 1st time MAC user btw.

PROS:
Speedy response time awaking from sleep mode
Loving the Screen display & backlit keyboard
Easy to get accustom to, alot of shortcuts
Good looking and sexy body
Sounds great

CONS:
I was most disappointed with the battery life i am getting 2-2 1/2 hrs, i mean really apple!!
Programs are hard to find- After payin millions to buy this product they den want you to spends thousands on software frankly I find this ridiculous
Garageband & Imovie are so easy to use very user friendly

Summary:
If you are not goin to use ur Macbook pro for Design, Drafting, Music Production, Editing or any other hardcore stuff I suggest to jus stick to a PC because it really wouldnt be worth paying the extra trust me. I knw its appealing to the eyes but still very pricy if jus for everyday use. I give 3 and 1/2 stars out of 5 mainly because of the battery life   See all Customer reviews
